UAE Announces Four Day Mourning Following Death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani

The UAE Presidential Court has announced a four day period of mourning following the death of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the father of the Emir of Qatar.

According to the Presidential Court, flags will be flown at half mast at all official government institutions across the UAE, as well as at the country’s embassies and diplomatic missions abroad. The mourning period began on Sunday, July 12, and will continue until the end of Wednesday, July 15.

The announcement was made as a mark of respect following the passing of Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani.
