Abebayehu Haile’s Agroforestry Investment in Benishangul Gumuz Region Creates Jobs for Youth.

Asosa: The Benishangul Gumuz Regional Youth Council has visited Bamboo Star Agroforestry P.L.C in Asosa city. The visit aimed to review the company’s operations, its use of bamboo resources, and the contribution it could make to youth entrepreneurship and job creation.

The council’s President, Ambassador Mohammed Mahmoud, and members of the council’s executive committee attended the visit. The company’s owner, Mrs. Abebayehu Haile, briefed the council’s leadership on the company’s activities and its ongoing bamboo development work.

The visit highlighted the role of Mrs. Abebayehu’s investment activity in the region, particularly in creating jobs for local youth and introducing new technology. The company’s agroforestry and bamboo development operations were described as opening sustainable employment opportunities for young people.

Mrs. Abebayehu Haile explained the work the company carries out in bamboo development and related sectors. She said the company is collaborating with young people to create jobs and is contributing to efforts to reduce youth unemployment. She also noted that the company is bringing modern technology to the region and helping young people build practical skills.

Participants also discussed how the sustainable use of bamboo can benefit the local economy while generating employment for youth.

Ambassador Mohammed said that cooperation with the private sector should be strengthened so that young people can benefit from the natural and economic resources of the region. He added that joint efforts to connect youth with jobs, vocational training, and entrepreneurship need to be reinforced.
