Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker, Ethiopia’s Ambassador to the United Arab Emirates, held discussions with Ms. Hiba Ahmed, Acting CEO of TAHALUF Al Emarat, a UAE-based technology and digital solutions company, on expanding cooperation in the digital sector.
During the meeting, Ambassador Jemal highlighted Ethiopia’s ongoing digital transformation efforts, including the implementation of the Digital Ethiopia 2030 strategy, reforms in the finance and telecommunications sectors, and the country’s commitment to building a modern digital economy.
For her part, Ms. Hiba Ahmed expressed TAHALUF Al Emarat’s interest in participating in Ethiopia’s digital transformation. She also indicated the company’s intention to undertake a pre-investment visit to Addis Ababa to explore potential investment opportunities.
Ambassador Jemal welcomed the company’s interest in Ethiopia and reaffirmed the Embassy’s readiness to facilitate the planned visit and support efforts aimed at strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia and TAHALUF Al Emarat.
