Ethiopian Christmas Message from Abrehet Ayele, CEO of Abri Business Group
On the occasion of Ethiopian Christmas, I extend my sincere wishes to all Christians, our valued clients, partners, and the wider community. Gena is a season of peace, renewal, and shared responsibility, reminding us of the enduring values of unity, compassion, and solidarity.
For the past 18 years, Abri Business Group has been engaged in supporting Ethiopia’s development across key sectors, including health, agriculture inputs, construction machinery, real estate, technology, import export services, entertainment through AfroHub Ethiopia, and the financial sector via Horizon SACCO. Alongside its business activities, the group continues to play its corporate social responsibility by standing with communities in need.
This Christmas season carries particular significance. Abri Motors will hand over 15 locally assembled Explore luxury electric vehicles to clients during the festive period, reinforcing the group’s investment in eco-friendly and modern transport solutions. At the same time, construction machinery supplied by Abri Business Group has reached Mekelle and is ready for delivery to customers.
To improve access and affordability, these machines are being offered in collaboration with banking institutions through flexible credit arrangements, including 50/50, 40/60, and 30/70 payment options. These arrangements are intended to ease financial constraints and support ongoing construction and economic activity.
As part of its social commitment this season, Horizon SACCO is preparing to support 100 women from low-income backgrounds, including women veterans, by covering their minimum membership payments. In addition, Abri Business Group has provided financial support of 100,000 birr to assist hunger relief efforts for internally displaced people in Hitsats. This contribution reflects the group’s practical approach to corporate social responsibility and community solidarity.
