Addis Ababa Mayor Extends Gena Wishes to Residents
Addis Ababa Mayor Adanech Abiebie has extended her Gena greetings to residents of the capital and to Ethiopians across the country, wishing them a peaceful and joyful celebration of Ethiopian Christmas.
In her message, the mayor emphasized the spiritual meaning of Gena as a time that reflects love, compassion, and togetherness. She called on the public to honor the occasion by supporting those in need and strengthening social solidarity within communities.
Mayor Adanech noted that Gena offers an opportunity for reflection, renewal, and shared responsibility, particularly at a time when unity and mutual care remain essential. She expressed hope that the celebration would reinforce values of peace, understanding, and cooperation.
