Tigray Conflict May Be Resolved Through Dialogue, Political Parties Say

The Ethiopian National Dialogue Commission has engaged in discussions with political parties from the Tigray region.
The head of the commission, Mesfin Araya (Professor), shared details about past activities carried out by the commission for the participants in the meeting.

It is noted that, as participation from Tigray is crucial, the commission has been carrying out various efforts to ensure the inclusion of the region in the ongoing dialogue process, according to the commission’s chairperson.
As such, political parties from Tigray have been urged to support the commission’s efforts to initiate dialogue, and they have expressed their commitment to the process.

The political leaders who participated in the discussion emphasized their belief that the Tigray conflict can be resolved through dialogue. They also underscored that this national dialogue is the only viable option for the country’s peace process.

The political parties involved, including the Tigray Democratic Party (TDP),Baytona,QanChi Haki,Tinsae Enderta,Arena,Raya Rayuma, the Tigray Generation Party (TGP), and others, affirmed their readiness to participate in the process.
