ASSOSA — In a significant political development for the region, the Benishangul Gumuz Regional State Council has officially re-elected and sworn in Mr. Ashadli Hasan as the President of the regional state.
The official swearing-in ceremony took place in Assosa on Meskerem 22, 2019 (corresponding to October 2, 2026), during a high-level session of the regional council. Following a democratic review and endorsement by council members, Mr. Ashadli took the solemn oath of office before the assembly, assuming his renewed leadership mandate for the upcoming term.
