Ethiopia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Jemal Beker, has called on investors and companies from the Emirate of Ajman to invest in Ethiopia, highlighting the country’s ongoing economic reforms and expanding investment opportunities.

The appeal was made during a meeting between Ambassador Dr. Jemal Beker and Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi, Crown Prince of Ajman and Chairman of the Ajman Executive Council, at the Ruler’s Court in Ajman.
According to information released following the meeting, the two sides discussed ways to further strengthen the longstanding bilateral relationship between Ethiopia and the United Arab Emirates. Their talks focused on expanding cooperation in trade, investment, economic development, and other areas of mutual interest.
During the discussions, Ambassador Jemal briefed the Crown Prince on Ethiopia’s ongoing macroeconomic reform program and the investment opportunities available across various sectors. He invited Ajman-based investors and companies to explore and invest in Ethiopia.

Sheikh Ammar bin Humaid Al Nuaimi reaffirmed the strong historical ties between Ethiopia and the UAE. He also expressed appreciation for the solidarity shown by Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed and the Ethiopian people during challenging periods faced by the UAE.
The Crown Prince further noted that the Ethiopian community residing in Ajman is respected for abiding by the country’s laws and contributing positively to society. He said the UAE and Ethiopia would continue strengthening their cooperation across a wide range of sectors.
The meeting was also attended by Ethiopia’s Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates, Zerihun Megersa, along with senior officials from the Government of Ajman.
