France Congratulates Ethiopia on Completion of 7th General Elections

Addis Ababa — The Government of France has congratulated Ethiopia on the completion of its 7th General Elections following the announcement of the official results by the National Election Board of Ethiopia (NEBE).

In a statement released by the French Embassy in Ethiopia, France extended its congratulations to the newly elected members of Parliament and acknowledged the efforts of Ethiopian authorities and stakeholders involved in the electoral process.

The statement also recognized the contributions of political parties, civil society organizations, election observers, and the Ethiopian public in the organization of the elections.

“Following the announcement of official results of the 7th general elections in Ethiopia by NEBE, France would like to congratulate all newly elected members of Parliament as well as the Ethiopian authorities and stakeholders involved, including political parties, civil society organisations, observers and, most of all, the Ethiopian people for the organisation of the elections,” the embassy said.

The French government did not provide further comments regarding the election results but emphasized its recognition of the efforts made by various actors in carrying out the electoral process.

The 7th General Elections were organized by the National Election Board of Ethiopia, with official results announced after the completion of the vote-counting process.
