Dr. Abraham Belay, Ethiopia’s Minister of Irrigation and Lowlands, cast his vote today at the Mehandis Condominium Polling Station located in Woreda 9, Electoral District 4 of Lideta Sub-City, Addis Ababa.
Speaking after voting, Dr. Abraham said the national election is being conducted in a peaceful, democratic, and fair manner. He noted that the electoral process provides citizens with an opportunity to exercise their democratic right to choose the government that will lead them for the next five years.

The minister urged all registered voters to participate actively in the election by casting their ballots. He emphasized that voting is an important democratic responsibility and encouraged citizens who have not yet voted to do so.
Dr. Abraham also highlighted the significance of youth participation in the electoral process, stating that young people play a crucial role in the success of democratic elections. He called on youth voters to make use of their voting rights before polling stations close.
