Jigjiga, July 7, 2026 — The Somali Regional State has begun its annual performance review of sector offices for the 2018 Ethiopian fiscal year in Jigjiga. The review officially opened yesterday and continued today.
The President of the Somali Region, Mustafa Mohammed, officially opened the review. Also attending were Deputy President Ibrahim Osman, the Head of the Somali Regional Branch Office of the Prosperity Party, Engineer Mohamed Shale, along with other senior regional officials.
According to SRTV, the review is intended to assess the achievements and challenges of the past fiscal year and identify lessons that can help improve implementation in the new budget year. The discussions are expected to focus on strengthening development efforts and improving the delivery of services to address the region’s development priorities.
Regional officials said the forum is expected to contribute to better coordination and stronger performance across government institutions as they implement development programs in the coming fiscal year.
