ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia, June 19, 2026 (Horn News Hub) — The German Embassy in Addis Ababa and the Inter Religious Council of Ethiopia have signed their first project agreement aimed at strengthening inter-religious dialogue and peacebuilding efforts in the regions of Amhara, Tigray, Oromia and Afar.
According to the parties involved, the partnership seeks to support initiatives that promote social cohesion, peaceful coexistence, and collaboration among religious communities in areas affected by conflict and instability.
The agreement marks the beginning of a new cooperation framework between the German Embassy and the Inter Religious Council of Ethiopia, with both sides expressing their commitment to working together on peacebuilding and dialogue-focused programs across the targeted regions.
The project is expected to contribute to ongoing efforts to foster understanding and reconciliation among diverse communities in Ethiopia.
