By Chekole Alemu

Imagine1day has conducted a targeted capacity building training for its Country Office and regional teams, focusing on personal vision and goal setting, self leadership, and strategic direction.

According to the organization, the training provided space for staff to reflect on Imagine1day’s 18 year journey of impact while critically examining existing strengths and operational limitations. The sessions were designed to strengthen clarity of purpose and equip teams with practical skills to drive the organization forward.

The program emphasized the importance of aligning individual vision and goals with the organization’s broader vision and mission. Facilitators highlighted that achieving long term impact requires consistent dedication, informed decision making, and disciplined follow through at both personal and institutional levels.

During self leadership sessions, participants explored how personal awareness, confidence, and intentional choices influence performance and goal achievement. The discussions reinforced the idea that clear goals and accountability are central to overcoming both personal and organizational constraints.

The training also revisited Imagine1day’s Vision, Mission, and Core Values, alongside its strategic direction and organizational capabilities. Participants examined how strategic management, impact measurement, partnership development, and continuous learning contribute to reducing risks, addressing gaps, and improving effectiveness.

Imagine1day stated that the initiative reflects its commitment to investing in its people, noting that sustainable organizational growth depends on a team capable of learning from limitations and leading with purpose.
