ADDIS ABABA, Ethiopia (HNH)— Horn News Hub has formally recognized and honoured its Editor-in-Chief, Mr. Chekole Alemu Berhe, during the Strategic Digital Leadership Summit 2026 Ethiopia Edition, an executive level forum focused on business growth and digital transformation.
The summit, organized by Tadita Group Institute, was held from 27 to 28 March 2026 at Jupiter International Hotel. The event brought together senior executives, business leaders, and professionals for an in person program accredited under the United Kingdom’s Continuing Professional Development framework.

In a formal statement issued during the summit, Horn News Hub said the recognition reflects Mr. Chekole’s professional leadership, commitment to independent journalism, and sustained contribution to strategic digital media development. The organization described editorial leadership as a public responsibility that requires institutional vision, ethical discipline, and the ability to safeguard credibility under pressure.
Mr. Chekole’s career includes foundational contributions at Tigray Herald and later editorial leadership at Horn News Hub, where he has focused on expanding digital reach, strengthening audience engagement, and integrating data driven analysis into reporting. Under his stewardship, Horn News Hub has developed into a fast growing independent digital platform covering Tigray, Ethiopia, the Horn of Africa, and the Red Sea and Middle East geopolitical space. The platform is known for investigative reporting and analytical coverage of security, intelligence, economics, politics, diplomacy, and regional affairs.
Horn News Hub operates in collaboration with the Horn of Africa Geopolitical Review, diaspora civic advocacy organizations, international think tanks, non governmental partners, and members of the diplomatic community. Headquartered in Nairobi, Kenya, and supported by a global board, the institution has built an international presence despite operating under constrained and largely self funded conditions.
The organization also welcomed Mr. Chekole’s selection to the Strategic Digital Leadership Executive Program, a CPD UK accredited initiative designed to strengthen executive decision making and digital transformation capacity. According to organizers, the program equips senior leaders with practical tools in innovation, artificial intelligence integration, strategic branding, revenue growth, and sustainable institutional expansion.
Horn News Hub said the milestone represents both a personal achievement and a broader contribution to independent journalism and the regional media ecosystem, reaffirming its commitment to professional standards and long term institutional growth.
