Ethiopia today marks the birthday of Prime Minister Dr. Abiy Ahmed Ali, the nation’s leader who rose to prominence in 2018 and has since been a central figure in the country’s modern political landscape.
Dr. Abiy, known for initiating sweeping reforms upon assuming office, quickly captured the attention of the world with his bold steps toward peace, political liberalization, and economic modernization. In 2019, he was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize for his efforts in ending two decades of conflict and fostering reconciliation with Eritrea.
