Ethiopian Prime Minister Hosts Somali President for One-Day Working Visit
Addis Ababa — Ethiopian Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed on Wednesday received Somali President Hassan Sheikh Mohamud for a one-day working visit, as the two leaders reviewed the state of bilateral relations and regional cooperation.
According to a statement by the Ethiopian Prime Minister, the visit included a working lunch during which discussions built on engagements held over the past year. The talks focused on strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia and Somalia and advancing areas of shared priority.

The leaders reaffirmed their commitment to deepening partnership between the two neighboring countries, with emphasis on regional stability and development. Both sides highlighted the importance of sustained dialogue and collaboration in addressing common challenges in the Horn of Africa.
Ethiopia and Somalia maintain close diplomatic ties and cooperate on political, security, and economic issues, reflecting their shared interest in peace, stability, and development across the region.
