Ethio-Italy Infrastructure Forum Held in Addis Ababa as Officials Tour Riverside Development Projects
The inaugural Ethio-Italy Construction, Infrastructure, and Urban Redevelopment Forum was held in Addis Ababa, bringing together Ethiopian and Italian officials to strengthen cooperation in construction, infrastructure, and urban redevelopment.

The forum focused on expanding partnerships in sustainable urban development, environmental protection, and modern infrastructure, areas seen as key to supporting Ethiopia’s rapidly growing cities. The event also highlighted opportunities for Italian technical expertise and investment to contribute to Ethiopia’s urban transformation initiatives.

On the sidelines of the forum, Adanech Abebe and Maria Tripodi toured riverside development and environmental protection projects stretching from Entoto to Arada.
According to a message shared on the mayor’s official X account, the visit aimed to showcase Addis Ababa’s ongoing urban transformation and environmental rehabilitation efforts. The riverside development project is part of broader initiatives designed to improve green spaces, enhance environmental sustainability, and modernize the city’s urban landscape.

Mayor Adanech described the engagement with the Italian delegation as productive and expressed appreciation for the visit. She also emphasized the importance of strengthening cooperation between Ethiopia and Italy in infrastructure and urban development.
The visit is seen as part of growing Ethiopia Italy collaboration, particularly in sustainable urban planning, environmental protection, and infrastructure modernization.
