The summit aims to provide a platform for forging partnerships, unlocking investment opportunities, and promoting inclusive economic development. Organizers expect over 1,000 participants, including approximately 400 international delegates from regions such as BRICS, the African Union, the European Union, AfCFTA member states, ECOWAS, SADC, and COMESA.

Madelein Mkunu, Chair of the Africon MSIs Summit and Awards and President of Leading Women of Africa, highlighted the event’s strategic importance. She said the summit will enable participants to connect, collaborate, and explore Africa’s industrial potential.

The summit will spotlight several key sectors, including agriculture and agribusiness, creative industries, tourism and hospitality, renewable energy and infrastructure, education and human capital, trade and investment, the digital economy, and health and wellness.

The event will also feature the Future is Female and Men Champions Awards, recognizing leaders who have contributed to economic transformation, innovation, and inclusive development across Africa. Nomination for the awards will open ahead of the gala scheduled for May 7.

Activities across the three days will include plenary sessions, sector-focused panels, exhibitions, business-to-business matchmaking, investment dialogues, policy forums, and curated business visits to industrial hubs. Participants will also have the opportunity to explore Dar es Salaam’s cultural and coastal attractions.

International delegates are advised to start their visa application process six to eight weeks prior to travel. Tanzania offers visa-on-arrival for certain countries, while others may require pre-approved e-visas or embassy-issued documentation. Registered delegates will receive official invitation letters to support visa applications.
